Larisa’s signature raspy voice and wide vocal range has been a mainstay in the dance music scene since 2008, when she had an international smash hit “Wait 4 U,” the Ministry of Sound (GER) single she wrote with DJs Lenny Fontana and Paul Ridney.
Though “Wait 4 U” was her first hit single, Larisa has been a singer, songwriter and performer from a young age. After stints in musical theatre, collegiate a cappella, a female R&B group and even a wedding/bar mitzvah band, Larisa found her niche in the dance world.
After “Wait 4 U,” Larisa had follow-up singles “Open Up” (New City Sound, with Phil England) and “7 Nations Army” (1980 Recordings, with Dan McKie ). Next up came the Miami smash hit “Believe You,” with Damion Daniel. “Believe You” catapulted Larisa to a slot alongside Blake Lewis, Kim Sozzi, Tony Arzadon, Bimbo Jones, Chris Cox and DJ Armando at Winter Music Conference 2010.
Larisa does commercial work as well, including demos for national commercials and television shows such as Sesame Street. She continues to write in all genres for international artists, both independently and with the Heatseekerz, and has penned songs that have been featured on shows such as “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” and “Bad Girls Club.” She recently reunited with Damion Daniel to release two singles, “Beautiful Face” and “Say the Words,” from his Wake Up Vol 1 album.
Larisa not only performs her original music, but also can be seen in New York and New Jersey with the After Party Band, a wedding and special events band. In addition, she is the front woman for DC Go-Go Band “One Mo Gain,” and dances and raps with hip-hop group Big Christmas.
